I had the misfortune of losing almost half of my three-year-old roof in Hurricane Milton. When I initially had this roof installed, I interviewed three roofers, all of whom I liked. This company was one of them. We did not end up using All Florida State (we had to coordinate with neighbors looking to have theirs done with ours), but I was very impressed with Josefina.

Ironically, the larger company that sold us our roof, and an extended warranty, came out and let us know that our warranty would be rejected because covering winds of up to 130 miles an hour is only for bursts of three seconds or less. Then, the rep offered to put an estimate together for us. He was nice enough, but he did not have anything in the way of specific advice to offer, and he never presented the promised estimate.

I called Josefina, and she came out the next day. She told me that the spots where the roof tiles had been sheared off needed to be covered with tar right away, because the nails were exposed, and the weather channel had predicted that we might have another storm. She sent someone out within two hours to do it, so we would be safe from water damage while we waited for a repair.I was sixth in line just that afternoon. The thing is, I had not even accepted her proposal yet, and there was no suggestion of my being expected to. She was sending out her team to cover everybody's exposed spots with tar so they had a chance to get repairs without incurring water damage. That's what I call integrity.

What mostly distinguished that initial experience from the other one is the fact that she told me she was going to do a thorough examination of the roof herself, then let me know what we needed to do in terms of paperwork, and guide us in whether we should bother filing insurance and warranty claims. It was clear that I was in the hands of a competent professional, one who took over when I needed expert advice-- not to mention someone who cared about keeping water out of our house. I had not known to worry about that. She took the initiative and made it her business to worry for me.

Her team was fantastic. They were on time, polite, and meticulous in clean-up. My insurance adjuster noted that the charge for their work was a good price.

I am sorry I did not initially pick Josefina's company, but even happier that I found my way to this business when I really needed them. I may not have lucked out in this storm, but we are fortunate in finding our way back to All Florida State Roofing.
